The tips and tactics in this article are sound.

But they are the same tips and tactics that would have got your website found 12-24 months ago before ChatGPT swallowed informational search.

It's not so different from traditional SEO but there are some things that work a little bit different! For example brand mentions (even from no follow links or with no link at all) seem to carry more weight in GEO.

But GEO is still a tiny proportion of search traffic.

Plus branded and location based search are up 20% since the arrival of GEO.

The basics are still the same with far more of an emphasis on EEAT, which was where google algorithm had got to before AI based search.
