This is really insightful! I’ve been looking for ways to improve my paid tier :)

Thank you for that overview. As someone who is relatively new to Substack it is helpful to see the approaches others have taken. And to read about approaches in one sitting.

This is so helpful! Saving to come back to as I work through eventually adding a paid tier and how to best go about that.

I especially like the idea of the early access paywall of content related to the 2026 edition of our book. I get the scheduling. If I add a paywall to an early access post, do all subscribers receive the initial post, then at the scheduled date, a second email is automatically sent to free subscribers?

Thanks. I will give it a go and see what happens

I haven't tried this but my understanding is that a second email is not sent automatically. I think it just unlocks the article for anyone who visit the URL.

Thanks so much for the shout-out for The Substack Bookstore. For clarification, free subscribers can list one book for free; annual paying subscribers can get 3 premium book listings and Founding (Bestseller Tier) members get 6 featured book listings plus one bestseller campaign post and note.

Oh sorry Fleur, I will fix that asap!

No worries at all. Just don’t want to put off the free subscribers. Thanks again for mentioning us.
