Thanks! awesome guide

Wow, that’s amazing. Before the amazingness of the solution, it’s amazing how people create a product around a lack of things here in Substack and monetize it.

Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing, because I was always wondering why we can’t add tables to Substack?

It's so strange isn't it!?

Manuel Salvatore Martone's avatar

Absolutely yes! It's strange, with a lot of other weird things the Substack team did on the UI.

This is FANTASTIC!!! I shall go set up a Datawrapper account now!

Casandra Campbell's avatar

It's such a great integration! This is how I do all my graphs too 😀

@casandracampbell This is awesome! Thank you for the tool recommendation AND for showing how it works!

Yay, so happy it's helpful!

This is great!

Just a heads up, the header isn’t responsive to dark mode (black text on a dark grey background).

Casandra Campbell's avatar

The table header? But the rest of the table is?

Hi.

Great tool . I always get the error: Invalid value when pasting in substack, be it iframe or script.

Anyone else?

Casandra Campbell's avatar

Since we're not able to edit the html on Substack, It needs to be the link and Substack will automatically create the embed from that.

Vasco Marques de Freitas's avatar

Thank you.

It's 2026 and Substack still doesn't have native table integration!?

Thanks for sharing this work around.

Even if Substack does eventually add this feature, I doubt it will be as robust as what DataWrapper offers.

Casandra Campbell's avatar

I know, it's crazy! Every day I also think about how I can't embed outside of a few specific tools like Datawrapper.

In some ways I feel this is intentional on their part.

More options, mean more dependencies and maintenance for their engineers.

Casandra Campbell's avatar

I wish we could just edit the html to embed. It’s crazy I have to post screenshots of Google Trends instead of embedding the charts, for example.
