As a business prof, this is a really good business idea! Looking forward to next week as I seek to expand my personal finance class to a wider audience.
It's so interesting that I saw this today. I plan to email folks who subscribed to my sorely neglected personal and old business websites to see if they want to be added to my Substack newsletter. How would you suggest I do this since many know nothing about my Substack and probably believe I disappeared completely? I've got addresses in Mailchimp, Yahoo Mail, and Gmail. I'd appreciate your input. By looking at this great article, you know what you're doing. I really appreciate any help you can provide. 😊
If they have previously subscribed to you, you could import the emails to Substack and send a "Hey this is what I'm up to now" email that also lets know they can unsubscribe at the bottom anytime. If they are contacts that hadn't opted into an email list I would just send a more personal email saying "Hey this is what I'm going now and I hope your subscribe" with a link! Does that answer your question?
